Ingredients:
- 5–6 peaches
- 100 g unsalted butter
- 110 g brown sugar
- 30 g white sugar
- 170 g all-purpose flour (about ¾ cup)
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 170 g milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp lemon zest
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 185°C / 375°F.
- If peaches are firm, slice and sprinkle with a little sugar. Let sit 15–20 minutes.
- Melt butter directly in your baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, vanilla, and lemon zest — the batter will be slightly runny.
- Spread ⅔ of the peaches over the melted butter.
- Pour the batter evenly on top.
- Add the remaining peaches.
- Bake for about 50 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
